The late Grandmaster Ki Whang Kim was a visionary and pioneer in the establishment of Korean Karate, or Tang Soo Do, in America in the early 1960s. His impact on countless students and masters was immeasurable and serves as the inspiration for our association. We established the association with the following goals in mind:
To bring like-minded traditional martial artists together to improve communications between Kwans or schools
To improve skills and techniques
To improve teaching methods as well as sharing philosophies
To establish a pathway for promotion and certification.
